Novex Cladding Oil Stain

NOVEX Cladding Oil Stain is a traditional solvent based semi-transparent linseed oil based stain which adds colour to timber while allowing the grain to show through. Its oil rich formula penetrates the timber protecting and enhancing its colour. Unlike mineral oil-based stains Cladding Oil Stain dries completely to give a finish that won’t mark clothing or skin.

Available in the following colours (matched to Protectoil):  Van Dyke, Black Forestry, Brown, Natural Clear. 

Best applied by brush.

Cladding Oil Stain is a great replacement product for Mainland Protectoil

Please note the following:  

• Natural Clear is recommended to be used for restoration and colour strength reduction only
• The final colour of Cladding Oil Stain is determined by the underlying colour of the timber to which it is applied
• Always colour test first to check that your choice of Cladding Oil Stain gives the result you want on the surface you are staining
• As Cladding Oil Stain takes 24 hours to dry and will harden/toughen over several days, avoid application if rain is forecast within 24 hours
• If coating a substrate previously coated with Protectoil, additional cleaning will be required - please request an instruction sheet
